In case of planned power outages

Information has already been sent out about the strained electricity situation and the risk of disconnection of electricity. In order for you to know what to do in the event of a power cut, the department has drawn up a plan.

The department has appointed key persons who are responsible for the safe shutting down of labs, sensitive instruments and other spaces.

The only thing you need to consider/know is that

  • warning for power outages is issued by a Vice Chancellor's decision which is sent out by an email with a few days' notice. Laboratory activities will then be shut down.
  • you must be prepared to leave the office/finish work within 15 minutes when the power goes out.
  • the head of the department will notify you by email when the power is back and you can return to the department.
