Rolf Elofsson

Professor Emeritus

Rolf is from Trollhättan, Sweden, and got his PhD from Lund University in 1966. He worked for the Natural Sciences Council and headed the former Department of Zoology at Lund University between 1980 and 1995. After retirement he was permanent secretary of the Royal Physiographic Society from 1995 to 2010. Rolf’s research focus is on invertebrate nervous and sensory systems, but he has also published a number of papers on structural analyses of human skin. His knowledge of skin structure and skills in electron microscopy are invaluable contributions to our work.
