Doctoral Student

I consider myself an entomologist with focus on parasitoid Hymenoptera.
My primary research interests (i.e. the subjects of my PhD thesis) are

  • Role of volatile cues in niche separation of Tersilochus heterocerus, Phradis interstitialis and Phradis morionellus (Ichneumonidae: Tersilochinae), parasitoids of the oilseed pollen beetle Brassicogethes aeneus (Nitidulidae: Meligethinae).
  • Landscape effects on community composition of herbivores and parasitoids and their potential interactions in oilseed rape fields in southern Sweden.
  • The relative importance of landscape-scale and local variables for the cabbage stem weevil Ceutorhynchus pallidactylus (Curculionidae: Ceutorhynchinae) and its parasitoids Tersilochus obscurator (Ichneumonidae: Tersilochinae) and Stibeutes curvispina (Ichneumonidae: Cryptinae).
  • Diversity of parasitoid wasps (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea) in oilseed rape fields

Secondary research interests:

  • Parasitoid wasps collected in various agricultural systems (oilseed rape, wheat, maize)
  • Parasitoid wasps bred from Trifolium repens (Fabaceae: Faboideae)
  • Taxonomy of Entiinae (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae)
