The IPBES assessment states that land use change is the main driver of biodiversity loss: ecological intensification as a feasible solution.
Lucas Alejandro Garibaldi is visiting BECC and the Ecology building during this day and will give a presentation about the newly published IPBES report
The recently published IPBES assessment report on Biodiversity and Ecosystem services reveal that global biodiversity is threatened, which also pose a threat to human livelihoods. Agriculture is one of the areas that can both be heavily influenced by decreasing biodiversity and where there might be solutions to mitigate biodiversity loss.
One such solution can be Sustainable Intensification and Lucas will present some of the research he has conducted within this field around the world.
