International symposium on respiratory systems in gram-positive bacteria
The symposium is devoted to the composition, function, and assembly of respiratory systems, especially terminal oxidases, in aerobic Gram-positive bacteria. Many of these bacteria are of large medical or industrial importance. The purpose is to promote research and exchange of information in this active but rather non-coherent field by bringing together scientists from laboratories at various geographical locations working at the molecular up to the cell level with related bacteria.
