DNA Sequencing Informatics I, 7.5 cr


This hands on course will give you the experience and provide the tools that are needed to analyze next generation sequencing data. It is particularly focused on the analysis of:

  • transcriptome data
  • amplicon data
  • genome data

Working environment is Linux and the course will develop the students’ skills in Bash and Python.

Covered areas are:

  • assemblies
  • differential expression
  • variant calling
  • gene prediction
  • annotation
  • community structure analysis

The course ends with an one week project work. Please, note that you have to attend almost all of the scheduled exercises.
