Covid19: Information to students

Lund University and the Faculty of Science have with respect to the Covid-19 situations set up regulations and recommendations for teaching during autumn semester 2020. For courses at the Department of Biology this means:

Lund University and the Faculty of Science have with respect to the Covid-19 situations set up regulations and recommendations for teaching during autumn semester 2020. For courses at the Department of Biology this means: 

  • lectures are given on-line, in general in Zoom  
  • labs are performed on campus, with more space and extra protective equipment 
  • group exercises and seminars are performed on campus, in large localities 
  • most excursions can be performed, but some will be in the surroundings of Lund
  • examinations are performed on campus 

To minimize the risk of spreading disease the following precautions will be taken:

  • Reduced number of students in class rooms, labs and public localities
  • Social distance must be kept, both in class and in foyers, library, lunch rooms etc.
  • Crowding must be avoided when passing in/out of localities
  • Handwashing facilities and hand sanitizer must be available
  • Lab coat and mouth guard must be worn in the lab (other protective equipment may be added for some labs)
  • Signs etc. reminding of social distance must be posted in our buildings
  • Busses (e.g. for excursions) must have space enough to ensure social distance
