At Lund Univesity, we offer a wide range of systems and tools for searching information and references.

LUBsearch Discovery is the joint entrance to searches in both printed and digital material for Lund University. You have access to much of the material directly. If you want to know more about how to use LUBsearch to search and reach electronic resources visit our library guide about LUBsearch.

LUBcat is a shared catalogue for the libraries at Lund University. In LUBcat, you can find printed material, such as books and journals, as well as e-books that the libraries at Lund University have access to. There, you can also see at which library, and on which shelf, the book or journal is located, as well as whether it is available. When logged in, you can also view your loans, queue for checked-out books and reserve books.

Databases A-Z is a list of all the subject databases that Lund University subscribes to. For help with searches read our library guide on Libguide's website.

For searches of scientific articles in biology we recommend these search tools in addition to LUBsearch:

Journal lists

The Biology library has two journal lists, one list with our printed journals, and one list with links to biology journals we have access to online.

If you miss anything, try to search in ePublications, Lund University’s search engine for electronic resources, or in LUBITO, the university’s shared list of both printed and electronic journals.

Library guides for digital references and field books

Are you looking for online reference books in biology? Visit our library guide about how e-reference works, sorted by subjects. We also have a library guide about field guides, sorted by continent and organism group.

Other reliable resources

Are you looking for a type of source not available with the university search tools? We have gathered reliable databases and other resources where you may find reports from authorities, maps, data, statistics, legislation, patents, and standards in our library guide about writing and sources.
