Evolution and differentiation in Silene

Honor C. Prentice has a long-standing interest in variation, hybridization and evolution within the (mainly) diploid genus Silene, with a main focus on the dioecious species in Section Melandrium and the gynodioecious Silene vulgaris group of species. Ongoing projects involve intraspecific differentiation and phylogeography, and collaboration with a range of other Silene enthusiasts: Stefan Andersson, Fabienne Van Rossum (National Botanic Garden of Belgium), John McNeill (Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh) and Yamama Naciri (Les conservatoire et jardin botaniques de la Ville de Genève).
